In accordance with the recommendation of the French National Council of the Order of Physicians (Conseil de l'Ordre des médecins), please find below the "Charter applicable to physicians' professional websites," which is acknowledged by this website.

"The National Council of the Order of Physicians (Conseil national de l'Ordre des médecins) encourages internet users to exercise critical thinking regarding all online publications. The trust that our fellow citizens place in information issued by the medical profession must therefore be upheld with particular care. For this reason, the CNOM has required all physicians who publish their own professional website to display the following provisions:

1. Internet users must be able to verify that any website publishing health-related information is indeed that of a physician, if it presents itself as such. The physician's professional website must display, on the homepage, a link to the Directory section of the CNOM website and a link to the dedicated page on the CNOM public website, which lists the publications and regulatory recommendations pertaining to medical ethics on the web.
2. The physician's professional website must provide practical information including the practice address, medical specialty, recognized qualifications, type of practice, healthcare facilities in which the physician practises, access information, and status with regard to social protection organisations.
3. When health-related information is published on this website, explanations must be purely informational in nature, covering conditions, prevention, treatments, and techniques performed. The physician must present, in an objective manner, the benefits and potential drawbacks of procedures, prescriptions, and interventions. This must be done in a clear and educational manner, with sources and references indicated where applicable. Such publicly available information may usefully complement the information previously provided to a patient during a consultation. In such cases, it is not intended to replace it. Publication and/or update dates must be stated.
4. Where the physician is unable to ensure regular updates on their professional website, the CNOM recommends that information should preferably be provided through links to public information websites that have no commercial interest.
5. Where the website publishes images or photographs for illustrative purposes, no identification of individuals must be possible. Such materials must not be presented in a way that would suggest a guaranteed outcome, as this would constitute misleading information, regardless of the medical or surgical field concerned.
6. The website must not advertise, either directly or indirectly, for the physician or for any organisations to which the physician may lend their services.
7. The physician's professional website must strictly comply with the confidentiality of personal data collected.
8. The physician must declare on this website any conflicts of interest with any company operating in the health and care sector. Where applicable, the physician must disclose the funding of the website and its maintenance.
